Kiyonobu, Torii
(1664 Osaka-1729) (Japan); aka Shobe, Torii
   Woodblock artist and poster designer. Son of an actor, his primary subject was theatre illustration. Founder of the Torii School of woodblock prints. Specialized in creating Kabuki posters, actor and courtesan portraits, and book illustrations.
